The Baptist Church, St Peter's-A Place For All the Family

Supporting the Church

…financially

Pound Sign 150

The Baptist Church, St Peter's, receives no central grant from the Baptist denomination-all of the money needed comes from Church members and those who attend the church. Occassionally, large-scale projects necessitate applying from grants, but in the main, the financial burden falls on those who seek to donate, give an offering or leave a bequest to the church.

The Bible commands God's people to give a tithe, 10% of their first fruits for the Lord's work, and this is a pathway to a blessing to those who obey.

To keep the church open, from paying the Minister's salary, training of staff & volunteers, right down to providing this website, is in excess of £1000 a week. And that, of course, is after the Church's own 10% tithe and a further 10% tithe towards establishing new churches in the area.

Can I help?

Yes, please-remembering your first responsibility is, of course, to look to the needs of family members. {1 Timothy 5:8-"If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."} So, if you would to help, please prayerfully consider your response. Donations may be one-off or regular and may, if you so wish, go to a specific ministry of the church you are interested in.

Gift Aid

Did you know that, if you are a UK resident, you may be able to "Gift Aid" your donation? To qualify, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount the Baptist Church, St Peter's, will claim in the tax year (currently 28p for every £1 donated).

For example, a £100 gift becomes £128!
